Christmas, with the Ray family

The wonder is welcome.
Christ is the heart.

We love the lights, the anticipation of Santa, and the little traditions that make Christmas feel like Christmas. There is room for all that joy here.

But the heart of this season for our family is the birth of Jesus Christ. God came near, bringing hope, grace, and a love we are called to share. That is the gift we want to keep at the center of our home.

Out here in Tennessee, we are still learning, still counting our blessings, and grateful for a quieter place to celebrate what matters most.

Merry Christmas, from our family to yours.Get to know our family

The little moments. The biggest blessings.

Jersey roots. Tennessee hearts.

We came for the quiet.
We found home.

We left New Jersey looking for peace, privacy, and room for our family to put down roots. Tennessee gave us something even better: a place that feels like home.

Our Christian faith is at the heart of our family. As a veteran, I carry a deep appreciation for service, hard work, and the freedom to build a life like this. Here, those values show up in the everyday work of caring for our family, our animals, and the land.

We'll always miss the beach. But sitting out here, looking over the pasture in what I consider God's country, feels like nothing short of a blessing.

God made a farmer. We're still learning.

We didn't arrive with all the answers, and we certainly don't have them now. There are muddy boots, things we'd do differently, and lessons that don't come from a book. We're learning as we go, asking questions, and doing our best to be good stewards of this place.

Happy Homestead isn't a picture-perfect farm. It's our family, our faith, and a life we're grateful to grow into.

Our farm-to-fiber goal

From this pasture to something you can wear.

That's the long-term dream: a traceable collection made with our own alpacas' fleece. We're still working on the right partners and products. Initial samples may use other suppliers' alpaca fiber; they won't be presented as our own.
